Having two kids has been hard. Its been hard to gauge when one needs me more than the other. It’s been hard when I hold my baby and can’t help my toddler. It’s been hard not being able to pour out the same amount of love at the same time to both of them. It’s been hard not having a full tank of energy to play with my toddler while my baby sleeps or play with baby while my toddler sleeps. It’s been hard providing full meals at each meal time and not just hand out a bag of fish or crackers. It’s been hard not being at my physical peak and being able to run and jump and play hide and seek. It’s been hard. So hard. I love this little lady in this photo so much and it tears me apart that I can’t be there the same way I was three months ago. My heart, my energy, and every piece of me has been divided once again to pour all I have into TWO girls. I love them so SO much it makes me tear up thinking about them. I pray that they would know me to be a strong and capable mother. A mother that is compassionate but fair and one that is silly and that they can laugh with until the sun comes up. The other night when we went to @capilanosuspensionbridge and I was able to run and jump and play with my first baby girl filled my heart and I overflowed with joy. Being able to be up close and see that toothy goofy grin and make her belly laugh by making funny voices. FILLED. MY. CUP.❤️❤️❤️

These two girls. I love her to bits and I know they love each other to pieces aswell! The last couple days they have been FaceTiming each other to play, show off their toys😂 and eat dinner together. Here is where Ezra discovered they had the same water bottle and asked to match. They thought it was hilarious.🤣 . . . How fun is it sharing memories and the youth of your childhood with such good friends and THEN doing the same through motherhood? Gosh I love this ‘hood.🙌🏻✨

My little piggy and I spent our evening at the @makeitshow at the PNE Forum rocking the @shopglitterandspice booth! Haven’t finished your Christmas shopping yet? Well come on down and don’t forget to say Hi 👋🏻 I can guarantee some baby cuddles if you do😉 I was so jealous of everyone walking around tonight, I wasn’t able to get a sneak peek before the show started, but I could tell there was TONS of vendors that were stocked with beautiful work and such a variety for everyone on your Christmas list! .... and yourself🙄 We’ll be here everyday until Sunday, hope to see you around!! PS: How CUTE is this teether from @shopglitterandspice Isla loves Milk Jugs....heh..heh..🤣🤓

We had so much fun at the @capilanosuspensionbridge last night checking out the amazing display of lights, holiday decorations and feeling the spirit of Christmas every step you took! Ezra has been there once before but she was smaller and in an ergo the entire time. This time Isla was the one being carried by Kenz and Ezra and I RAN across the suspension bridge (Ezra yelling ‘Woah it’s so wobbly mommy’ on repeat with a big smile across her face the whole way), we ran up all the stairs, ran right across the tree top lights and ran around the tiny lake. It was a blast and we were both exhausted by the end of it but don’t worry, in pure Ezra fashion, she did not fall asleep on the ride home and went to bed at about 10 o’clock last night. Whoops🤷🏻‍♀️ #capilanochristmaslights

Oh my sweet little love.✨Watching your big blue eyes sparkle from the twinkle of the Christmas lights will never get old. Chewing away on your hands, babbling at all hours, endless little thigh rolls and scooching your little bunsies around the play mat. I love every little part of you. You and your sister are the greatest little gifts to us.✨

Many of you may not know this, but before we had kids, I taught preschool! I loved every minute of it, thrived on their endless energy and every little smile and voice brought me so much joy. One thing that we had the chance to share with these tiny humans was the love of Christ and His birth on Christmas morning. I fell in love with teaching all over again, being able to share something that was so close and dear to my heart was the cherry on top. Through this process we shared with stories, put on a play for the parents and my favourite, the Little People Nativity Scene from @fisherprice It is seriously the sweetest little set and perfect if you are introducing faith to your little ones. When we had Ezra, I knew this was what I would use to tell her about Baby Jesus. I put together this Advent calendar for her first Christmas and have re done it each year. Inside are each of the nativity characters, bible verses and other small items, such as those that represent gold, frankensence and myyrh. I love it so SO much and this is the first year that she is asking questions and actively seeking answers. #thereasonfortheseason

Bath time tonight in hopes to calm this little monkey down from a day of adventure! We made our way out to the @shopandtalkmarket and Ezra made her rounds saying hello and waving at every vendor in sight, had her face painted by @rainbowfacesxx and had her picture taken in the beautiful @goldngrasses photobooth. We finished up with a family date afternoon by ordering some extra large & floppy pizza from @famosopizzeria 🤤 On our way home, both the girls slept the whole way, but when we pulled in to the driveway, a half-asleep and dopey Ezra murmured, “Daddy, keep driving.” So we did. We drove over to the thrift shop and went thrifting! A bath was the perfect way to warm up and end today. . . . [Ad]Recently we were gifted a care package from @aveenoca of their brand new line of Aveeno Baby Eczema Skincare. There is a large variety stretching from Eczema Moisturizing Cream, Body Wash, Itch Relief Balm, Baby Moisturizing Cream, Eczema Care Nighttime Balm and Baby Care Wash! With small patches of Eczema myself and just generally dry skin in the colder months, we have these on repeat right now.💃🏻
